An Alaskan Cooks is is written by “AKCuisine,” the pen-name used by an enigmatic woman with dual identities: She’s cloaked in a starched medical personae by day, but by night she transforms into a true dining diva. When she’s not playing the role of a whisking dervish in the kitchen, she’s challenging restaurant chefs, urging them to impress her with their best culinary offerings.
